Full of knowledge and a confidence booster!!, August 18, 2014

This review is from:  Alice Doesn't Live in the Mirror (Kindle Edition)

'Alice Dosen't Live in the Mirror' by Rich D.Rios Jr. Is a true eyeopner and a conficence booster for women of all ages esp. Teenagers. The writer has taken his main character 'Alice' from the children fantasy story book 'Alice in Wonderland' to describe the impact of a fake, so called 'ideal women' to be reflected on up growing girls by their family, media, peers and co workers.
Author Richard. D. Rios Jr. Has wonderfully helped women and teenage girls by his book to overcome the false stereotypes that keep them from being the real wonderful themselves, who they are and the way they all are special in their own ways in contributing to their family and friends.
The book is full of reality, based on knowledge and information taken from different natural and scientific studies based on the views of 'chakra expert and energy practioners, gemstone expert, chinese medicine, herbal and wellness expert', relating the myths and facts of healthy human body, mind and soul.
This book is not a fiction read infact it is a true guide and friend to all up growing girls and women who are misguided by the society. I would highly recommend this knowledgable read to all the lovely women, friends and growing teenage girls. Remember we all are different and special in our own little ways, so never fake it instead always respect yourself and discover your inner potentials. Definitely A must read!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Scientific Fiction!!, April 19, 2014
This review is from: PROTECTOR - The Ballad of Jimmy Fisher: Earthstrike (Kindle Edition)

'Protector- The Ballad of Jimmy Fisher' by Mark Gravil is an amazing science fiction about Jimmy Fisher and his teenager friends Lily, Pete and Eddie.
Jimmy is an ordinary student in school but he is unaware of his special qualities which are undiscovered by his family and friends until one day when he encounters an alien and the planet Earth is captured by alien race Jhuurdreng Corporation.
Author Mark Gravil's book has an interesting story line about teenagers, getting involved in an alien invasion with mind blowing imagination , realistic description of spaceships and superior alien race that strikes earth.
The book is so written that readers can effortlessly feel the emotions of characters and get well absorbed by the story.
'Protector- The Ballad of Jimmy Fisher' will make a perfect sci-fic movie series and i am sure it will make all teenagers its fan!
I really enjoyed every chapter of the novel and it kept my interest level high until the last page. I would highly recommend this book to all esp. young readers with interest in universe and the alien world.

An excellent inspiring read!!, March 12, 2014
This review is from: Unfaithful Mind (Kindle Edition)

'Unfaithful Mind' is a well narrated heartbreaking real story or rather i would say a memoir of Marion Gibson, where she tells us about her wonderful love marriage with 'Jack Gibson'. Her world is turned upside down all of a sudden when her 'perfectly happy' well going marriage is put on sudden test by her husband Jacks mental illness or 'schizophrenia' ruining his thoughts and trust on Marion as a good wife.
I was really shocked by reading how Jacks behavior completely changed, he was not the same man who fell in love with the writer!!
The author has so well put across her feeling, of when she had to face the kind of situations, where she had to put up with a mentally ill man. I am sure it was very painful for the author to go through this phase of life wherein her loved one was suffering so seriously, but she stood rock-hard with her husband "through sickness and in health" and she proved to be a perfect loving wife.
The author has used very simple language in her novel and certain parts where 'what was going on in her husbands mind' makes this book really interesting.
Marion has been a role model and real inspiration for all those who go through such situations in life. I felt really good to read that in the end all was well and the authors family didn't fall apart.
I would highly recommend this real non fictional to all esp. those who are firm to save their relation and loved ones, no matter how many hardships they come across. Its a must read!!

5.0 out of 5 stars History made interesting!!, March 10, 2014
This review is from: The Year of the Horsetails (Kindle Edition)

'The Year of the Horsetails' by R.F. Tapsell is an excellent , well imagined fictional tale based on history where we are introduced with character known as 'Bardiya' who is a soldier in the army of Kagan of the brutal Mongol, like central Asian nomad people of the Tugars. Escaping the barbaric militarily superior Tugars, Bardiya helps villagers to defend themselves.
The author has put across the cultures and society of the early dark ages in a very interesting manner describing the landscapes and battles captivating all the non history lovers.
The novel has a well planned plot, heroic characters, adventure, romance and war, everything necessary for a perfect narrative. It is a must read, I would highly recommend this novel to all esp. history lovers with an interest in fictional heroic characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars A heart touching read!!, March 9, 2014
This review is from: Sweet Serendipity (Kindle Edition)

'Sweet Serendipity' is a very touching story about a wonderful homely lady and mother of two 'Rebecca' who is too involved in her family life doing her daily household work and giving her best possible in every way to her family until one day her happily married life( so she thinks) falls apart when she finds her husband Jack cheating on her for a younger blonde girl.
This novel has many other interesting characters with powerful personalities but Ethan a young handsome man stands out as he enters Rebecca's life with a promising lovable future.
From the very moment i started reading about Rebecca i fell in love with her because her character gave a glimpse of all hardworking family loving women whether it was my mom, my friends or even me, I could quite well relate her with my life.
The novel had such a smooth flow of emotions that it kept me glued for hours until i finished it completely and i am sure all its readers would agree with me.
The story was so realistically put together that it bought a burst of emotions in me, at times Rebecca's tears brought lump of sadness in my throat and other times i just counted on Ethan to bring back happiness in her because she deserved to be happy.
I would love to dedicate and highly recommend this book to all lovely, family bringing women around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book with a heart!!, March 7, 2014
This review is from: The Color of Home: A Novel (Kindle Edition)

'The Color of Home' is an excellent heart touching love story, I felt I lived the book while i was reading it because it has many heart warming moments with some lovely poems and lyrics included. The story is based on two main characters i.e. Sassa- a chef and Nick -a musician who meet at a coffee shop one day and slowly after getting to know each other they fall in love, with Nick giving in first!
As you read on you will find that their story is one of hope and passion as both have a tragic past and so they face the challenges of maintaining an individual identity while being in the relation.
The Author Rich Marcello like an artist has beautifully shown us the ups and downs, the pain, the agony they go through. The best part?....he has woven dynamic and modern settings with music and delicious cuisine and so the book is sweet, engaging, twisty and both plot and character driven in turns.
I am inspired and was completely glued to the book and wanted to know what happens next. The author surely knows how to keep the readers interested! its a must read...buy it and you wont regret it or the time you spent getting to know the characters and the story. Highly recommended!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A heart warming true story!!, March 7, 2014
This review is from: The Tragic Romance of Africa: A True Adventure (Kindle Edition)

'The Tragic Romance of Africa' is a heart warming and heart breaking adventurous memoir of Dennis Hubbard the writer himself. The book gives its readers an inside view of writers life, his love, friendship, work and hardship and a very common issue witnessed those days 'racism'(60 years back).
Each event and occasion in the novel are so well narrated and expressed by the author as though they were recently experienced although these things happened to the writer 60 years back!
The journey of the writer from Sheffield to Africa and from one place to another are so well expressed and each detail so well described that at times i felt i was travelling and experiencing those moments with Dennis himself.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this tragic, hard to believe but real novel, It was so captivating, i didn't want to be disturbed a minute until i finished it completely.
I would love to recommend this book full of real emotions and genuine feelings to all esp. non fiction and adventure lovers. Its a must read!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful work of fantasy and fiction!!, March 5, 2014

This review is from: A New Dawn (The Guardians Chronicles - Fantasy Epic Book 1) (Kindle Edition)

'A New Dawn' is a great work of fantasy and fiction by Ann .H. Barlow. It is an epic story where a young girl, Sahara Driver is the main character.
The story begins slowly with simple life of Sahara, she has had a very sad past with death of her parents and her sibling and also a friend but she is saved form these accidents. She meets Nigel, they fall in love and move in together but unfortunately he turns out to be an extremely jealous and abusive boy friend.
As i read on i felt totally connected with the characters. I really loved the character of Sahara and felt every pain of her when she went through abuses and physical touches by her boyfriend. On the other hand at times the character of Nigel brought anger in me. There is a secret and a wow factor to Sahara's character adding depth to novel, which the readers have to read on and find out for themselves!
The novel was full of twists and turns and it sure is unimaginable great work of fiction. And then there was an emergence of evil villain 'Barak' who is a threat to the world.
Without revealing much of the story i would just like to conclude by saying that the writer Ann .H. Barlow has done a great job, the story line is very strong with a totally wonderful new concept which keeps the interest of the readers growing with the turn of every page.
i would highly recommend this book to all and esp. to those who love fantasy and fiction. Its a must read!!

Soul Of Warrior is a wonderfully imagined fantasy novel revolving around the main character Kimi Wicker and her journey to different unfamiliar alien world.
The writer Denna Holm has very well captivated her reader by making novel more interesting through adding touch of intensity, love romance and adventure giving her characters a very realistic description and feel.
The novel has everything of a great fantasy, a well plotted and strong story line, to name it whether they are aliens werewolves or vampires, it has all.
The characters are so strong and absorbing that once you start the book you cannot keep it until fully finished.
The author has such amazing imagination, i would recommend everyone to read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A touching memoir!!, March 2, 2014

This review is from: I Will Never Forget: A Daughter's Story of Her Mother's Arduous and Humorous Journey Through Dementia (Paperback)

'I Will Never Forget' is a well written and well narrated heart warming and heart breaking memoir of a daughter writer herself Elaine C. Pereira's journey through her mother Betty Wards Alzheimer's disease and Dementia.
Though writers mother Betty Ward was a strong woman during lifetime, she went through a series of painful moments, where she lost her son in an accident, then she lost her husband, recovery from such bad mishaps is never easy, but she kept on moving in life and giving her best to her family and children.
The writer has well shared and expressed the humorous and arduous moments she experienced with her mother, slowly and gradually bringing up the series of symptoms of Dementia her mother went through for those not aware of such disease. The readers experience the pain and tragedy of being closely involved with a Dementia patient.
This book is an incredible knowledge provider on the subject. I would highly recommend it to all esp. caregiver readers to read and lend a helping hand emotionally, physically and mentally whenever they come across a dementia sufferer!

5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting wonderful read!!, March 1, 2014
This review is from: Because of You (Kindle Edition)

'Because of You' is absolutely a wonderful sensually , romantic novel based on two main characters Riley Hmilton -18 years old young attractive girl, whose been with her mother from childhood till 16, when her father walks out. Riley had a very bitter, namesake relationship with her mom, until one day her father calls her to move to south Carolina at the age of 18 for collage.
and Hunter Davis 21 years old young, handsome, flirtious guy( fantasy of every woman) is a life guard on one of south Carolina's most popular beaches. The novel brings together these youngsters and they fall in for each other the moment they see each other.
For most of the book, writer Connie Lafortune has used 3rd persons omniscient POV (point of view). This is basically the all knowing all seeing narrator which allows the readers to know whats going on inside several characters head.
However, when it comes to telling the story from the main characters POV, she slipped quite purposely into two main characters POV. This way of narration has made the novel extremely interesting and realistic.
I don't want to spoil the story for readers by reveling much about the story except to say that if you really like a good romantic novel, this book is probably for you. It kept me glued! Superbly woven to keep you turning the pages and absorbed right till the end. A must read!!

Her encounter with an elderly lady turns thing completely upside down. A hint of a long ago murder is not a secret with which Susan wants to be entrusted. She is drawn inexorably into the investigation surrounded by menacing strangers whose private agendas threaten her life and safety. Writer Diana Hockley has done a fantastic job of creating a unique voice for each character.
This novel is an enjoyable read filled with suspense, mystery and crime fiction. The characters are well drawn and well woven.
The story line is very well thought out and well plotted keeping its readers guessing and turning pages right up until very end.

An entertaining story!!!, February 27, 2014

This review is from: Trusting Love (Kindle Edition)

This novel is a very wonderful story of a women Chole Wilder who is expecting a baby but cannot put up with her abusive boyfriend Tony and runs away from home in search for a better future for her child. She is found by a cop 'Jayden Peterson' in her car in Arden, Maine. They both feel connected and have more then friendship to their relationship.
The writer Emma Leigh Reed has made her novel very interesting by dealing with a very common issue of women being abused and battered physically or mentally in some way or the other. It is an eye opener to the abused women's feeling of insecurity, fear and low self esteem experiences.
The novel is short with a very strong story line with a feel of very realistic characters which keep readers wondering and wanting for knowing more.
Once you start to reading this story, you can't put it down until you have finished it.I would recommend this book to all, esp. women to read and come up strong in any situation.

This review is from: With Love From Libby (Kindle Edition)

This book is a tale about a girl Libby who always wanted to be a police woman, from her childhood, in process of pursuing her career she meets Jack, who seems very promising as good life partner but the very day Libby gets married things drastically change and her married life turns out to be a complete nightmare. Jack changes from a loving man to a very insensitive, dominating chauvinist and keeps abusing and suppressing Libby emotionally with his bulling nature.
In contrast to this Libby is blessed with Carol who is extremely caring and supportive true friend on whom she can rely upon in any circumstances.
The writer of the novel Shirley Ford has glued the readers to the book to keep turning pages by a very realistic but slow and gradual changes and happenings in the characters life where Libby discovers her new talent of writing which is taken for granted by her family. The book keeps the readers wishing and praying for Libby to change and emerge from a bullied, unhappy and low self esteemed housewife to a confident successful woman with help of her friend and a new found loving man.

 5.0 out of 5 stars 'A heart touching read', July 9, 2014

This review is from: A Letter To My Son : A novel (Kindle Edition)

A Letter To My Son by Robert Geoffrey is extremely touching and heart warming novel about a man Tom who is in his sixties and has a very painful past where he lost his wife Christine and his son Andy in a car accident fifteen years ago. Tom lives in a cottage at the top of a meadow with his dog Monty.
Tom follows a very relaxing daily routine with Monty, where both of them go for a walk in the woods daily, enjoy the nature and do what ever they want to do until one day Tom comes across a young stranger 'Williams' during his walk. They slowly connect to each other emotionally and the novel brings to its readers the sad and painful emotion of Tom for the loss of his loved ones.
I could not put the book down until i fully read it! Author Robert Geoffrey has done a wonderful job of creating such realistic characters which are so absorbing and can make all readers connect emotionally.
The scenic beauty of woods, the meadow and the river were so descriptive that one can really feel the freshness of nature as if physically present there by the side of characters themselves.
I really felt very sad and sympathetic for Tom for losing his wife and son.At times when Tom spoke to Williams about the things he wanted to share with Andy, it created lumps in my throat.
The novel is short but with a very realistic story line filled with pain, sorrow and regrets.
I really enjoyed this book since it was written with very natural touch of emotions of life and did not drag unnecessarily.
I highly recommend this book to all and esp. to those who have lost their loved ones in any tragedy and also to those all wonderful people in our lives who deserve our love and care, and are in some way or other very important part of our lives. Its a must read!
